Self Care Sunday

Self care is something people consider to be too challenging, out of reach and always the last priority. Plenty believe that engaging in nurturing care of their own bodies, minds and spirits should fall behind the needs of everyone else.

Create affirmation cards. Putting your affirmations on cards can make great reminders. Flipping through them at a later time also reinforces your commitment for self-care.

Create a vision board for self-care. Cut and paste pictures of you in activities that support your wellness. Your vision board serves as a reminder for you with undertaking self care.

Meditate. This is my favorite tip! I enjoy being in a peaceful state, away from the noise, crowd and clutter. So whenever I am feeling tense, I retreat into silence for a while.

Go offline. Reduce mental clutter by going off the internet for a day or even a week. Self care is to be able to get away from all the distractions, just for a day or two, take a break from answering calls or responding to texts. It’s okay! The world won’t collapse without you.

Use aromatherapy. Use scent therapy to invoke the right mood, release your tension or simply to clear the air of toxins.

Let go of emotional clutter. Spend an afternoon, night or simply allocate some time to clear emotional clutter. I do this at least 2-3 times per week, using emotional healing methods.

We have to do a better job in making your self care wellness is a priority.

Each obstacle is a chance to grow and learn.

My inner world creates my outer world.

I have everything I need within myself.

I have much to celebrate about myself and my life.

I choose to stop apologizing for being me.

I let go of negative self-talk.

“We all have to take a day or two and not care about anybody’s issues just care for yourself today. If you don’t feel like getting something done today guess what don’t let it happen today, just relax and enjoy the day doing nothing.”
