What A Day: Beautiful Scenery, Martinis and Infused Brownies

So of course I woke up to yet another death in Georgia and yet again this black man did not have to die it is truly exhausting just for us to watch the news. After seeing that on the news this morning we decided to drop supplies off to my mother-in-law and aunt, then we ventured out for a ride getting out of the truck only to snap a photo and back to just riding around the city taking in the scenery and just to get out the house. The beginning of summer will be here next week so of course the scenery was beautiful today!

Lately I have been wanting to become a plant mom maybe because I’m getting older and having the patience now to have a few plants in my home. I am only interested in getting an aloe vera plant then graduate to something similar to the aloe vera but with the same simple care, lol.

Came back home and I was in a cooking mood so put some music on, made dinner and made me a pomegranate martini!! No this isn’t my drink I made but I love this gif. Also here is the quick simple way to make this tasty drink.

• 2oz Pama

• 1 oz Vodka (I like Titos)

• 1/2 oz triple sec or orange liqueur

• 1/4 of a lime juice

• 1/2 cup of ice

Add all ingredients to your martini shaker. Tip if you don’t have a shaker a mason jar works just fine if you strain the ice. Make sure the covers on tight and shake it! Up, down and all around. Now pour into a martini glass straining the ice and enjoy!

Also two new things I watched over the weekend is Spike Lee’s new movie on Netflix “Da 5 Bloods” and listen everyone in the movie was so but Delroy Lindo character was awesome and this movie shows how PTSD can affect a family without being treated properly and still people will have good days and bad days. Delroy Lindo definitely deserves all the awards for his role in this movie.

Also I am just catching up and finishing up the updated modern version of Dynasty and I will be honest I was very skeptical because I love the old Dynasty but I was pleasantly surprised and plenty of black actors which is made me love it more. So in my eyes this new Dynasty gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Check it out if you haven’t, it is only 3 seasons but seems like it went off in the middle of the third season so I hope we get more episodes.

Later we made infused caramel fudge brownies

1 box Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix (because that’s my business lol)

2 eggs (more fudge taste with 2)

1 cup cocoa powder

1 ½ teaspoons salt

2 cups almond milk

1 cup apple sauce (makes your brownies moist)

1 ½ cups sunflower oil (this is optional you can use oil best for you)

CBD oil of your choice

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

🥣 Preheat the oven to 160˚C.

🥣 Combine brownie mix and other ingredients into bowl.

🥣 In a separate mixing bowl, combine the apple sauce, almond milk, sunflower oil, CBD oil, and vanilla extract.

🥣 Combine the wet mix and the dry mix, and stir with a hand whisk until the mixture is smooth.

🥣 Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.

🥣 Bake for 27-30 minutes which is on the brownie mix instructions.

🥣 Allow the brownies to cool and then evenly. I drizzled infused caramel sauce over the brownies.

🥣😆 Enjoy!!

So of course my brownies were delicious and I’m feeling lovely. Now I have several things I need to work on which is first the podcast to start off my week and get things ready for another week of working from home.

I hope everyone had a beautiful weekend and remember to be safe out there in this pandemic we are still currently in. Hugs & Love.
